Government announces Rs. 20 coin: Here's everything you should know

For the first time in India, the government is all set to release Rs 20 coins. The Finance Ministry on Wednesday reported a new Rs 20 coin which will be built like a 12-edged polygon. As per NDTV, the Finance Ministry issued a notice reporting the new Rs 20 coin. The new coin will be like the 10 rupee coin in specific viewpoints – it will likewise be a two-toned coin with a 27 millimeters width. The external ring of Rs 20 coin will be 65 percent copper, 15 percent zinc and 20 for each nickel, the inward circle will be 75 percent copper, 20 percent zinc and five percent nickel. Other than these pointers, the administration has not issued some other signs or insights about the Rs 20 coin. However, as per MoneyControl, the look of the coin will have the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar with the legend "Satyamev Jayate" engraved below, flanked on the left periphery with "Bharat" in Hindi and on the right perimeter with "India" in English. The government is additionally set to discharge the new series of models of coins of Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5 and Rs 10.
