What I love about my sessions at Amplitude Vibration Studio is first and foremost, the embracing and understanding staff! The great lengths each trainer takes to have me better acquainted with the machine’s vibratory effects on my nervous and auto immune system has been very beneficial. I would never have received this kind of one-on-one attention in a sports club or gym where the focus is mostly on fitness.  While I do think that fitness is important, I wanted to be able to treat my condition (osteoporosis) while getting fit at the same time. Being a busy person, like the so many of us that are, time is definitely a factor and the sessions are only 30 minutes.

I could write a book on my experience with Whole Body Vibration, but I’d like to share the abridged version.  Since being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago, I am no stranger to physical therapy, exercise & fitness.  Every day living with this insidious disease is a challenge.  While researching online for alternative treatments, I linked to the website explaining the therapeutic use of Whole Body Vibration and how it enhances the communications between the central nervous system and the muscles.  I believe in the holistic approach to treating mind, body and spirit.  After my initial consultation I left knowing I was in the hands of a very knowledgeable professional mindful of my concerns and expectations. My treatment program using the vibration platform was like kick starting my nervous system. I have noticed significant improvements in my balance and coordination.  Although still concentrating on my gait deficit, I am sure that will improve with time.

I have been working with the staff at Amplitude for about 6 months now.  I was referred by a colleague because I have a type of muscular dystrophy. Six months later and going regularly to the studio 3 days a week, I have found myself to love exercising again.  It is like a home away from home.  Aside from the state of the art equipment and the extremely knowledgeable staff, there is an energy there that is so wonderful. I can’t recommend the staff at Amplitude Vibration enough.  This is the first time in which I have seen dramatic changes in my energy levels, flexibility, tension, balance, and strength.  Whether you are dealing with an injury, illness, or just wanting to lose weight or strengthen your body, it is worth seeing for yourself!

I am a competitive runner having raced countless long distance races. Over the years the miles took a toll on my body and had left me to repair my meniscus. My surgeon recommended finding a place in which I could recover in an accelerated pace for after my operation. After visiting Amplitude Studio, the staff initially recognized my rehab needs and incorporated vibration training into my recovery. Along with strength training, stretches, and therapeutic positions, I was racing in Central Park 4 months later.

A month ago, I was brought in to Amplitude Studio by one of my closest friends who had heard about it from one of her friend. I will admit I was skeptical about a 20 minute workout that would work. I thought to myself “Impossible! No way!” Then, after some convincing I said to myself “Okay, I will give it a shot”.  Here I am, a month later, three mornings a week for 20 minutes and I am down a pant size. For me, this accomplishment is huge and I am actually feeling better. The staff truly takes a new meaning onto caring about their clients. They do not take NO for an answer and for that, they make working out fun, new, challenging and exciting!

When I started using whole body vibration I was unsure if it would help me. I no longer doubt its benefits; the terrible pains I had in my feet have diminished enormously, I would say about 90 percent. And after using it I feel energized, stronger and light. It’s rather amazing.

I have had an increasingly painful right shoulder for the past 12 months. Just raising my arm over my head resulted in muscle spasms that radiated up my neck and down through my upper back. I couldn’t even reach behind my back to try to stretch the arm any longer. No amount of massage or anti inflammatory would relieve it. So I started seeing Gabriel Ettenson and he immediately had the answers to my pain. Yes, he started me on the Vibraflex as gently as I could go, while still pushing my mobility. After only 2 weeks of 3 days a week use, the pain is almost gone completely, and I have full mobility back in my right arm. Then I started to workout my whole body with Whole Body Vibration and I have had great results.
